LYRICS PROCESS
Experiments in Musical Intelligence created the lyrics for the World Anthem by using a database of all of the world's recognized national anthem lyrics. The program segmented these lyrics into fragments (thousands of such fragments) and then selected usable fragments based on their containing keywords such as love, togetherness, peace, and so on. Since most lyrics of the world anthems are more warlike than peacelike, this produced a relatively small output that the program then attempted to place in some reasonable orders. From these groupings, lyrics were then selected based upon what was the most effective generation of the kind of idea that the World Anthem seeks to convey.
